The Russian Ministry of Defense announced early on Sunday that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 635 drones during the past night in one of the largest Ukrainian drone raids in recent times.
According to the ministry, the drones were downed over multiple regions in western and southwestern Russia, as well as the waters of the Azov and Black seas.
The attack on the Saratov region resulted in two deaths and damage to infrastructure. Reports of an oil refinery being struck are still unverified.
