The head of Iran’s cyberspace council said on Monday that Iran was the first country to disable all Starlink terminals through a managed operation during a nationwide internet blackout last January.
Mohammadamin Aghamiri said Iran had used one technology to disrupt the terminals and had other systems ready to identify them or prevent their use.
Aghamiri also said Starlink’s network infrastructure could be considered a legitimate military target because it was being used as a tool of war. He said Iran was prepared to respond.
