The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Norwegian Ambassador Paal Bjornestad to protest the alleged misuse of Starlink satellites on Iranian territory. The ministry held Norway responsible for SpaceX's Starlink, as the company was registered with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) via the Norwegian Communications Authority.
The ministry claimed that the United States and Israel use the satellite network to "advance interventionist measures against Iran" and condemned Norway's failure to act on the subject, stating that the country was "obliged to take necessary measures to prevent unauthorized Starlink transmissions in Iranian territory," calling for "effective and immediate" action from the Norwegian government.
