The yield on the 30-year US Treasury bond rose on Wednesday to the highest level since 2007, before the beginning of the global financial crisis, following the Federal Reserve's decision to maintain interest rates and amid growing concerns about the crisis in the Middle East.
At 4:40 pm ET, the yield on the 30-year bond increased by 11 basis points to 5.213%.
