Russia views Norway's military buildup near their shared border as a threat to its national security and will take additional protective measures, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
Peskov claimed the military activity was directed against Russia and therefore "cannot but be perceived as a threat." He added that the Russian Defense Ministry and other relevant agencies were working on measures to safeguard the country's security.
Separately, Peskov said Moscow had not yet received information about the outcome of talks held in Kyiv by US Special Envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, while leaving space for future trilateral talks.
