DeepX expands work with Intel, Samsung, Hyundai

South Korean artificial intelligence chip company DeepX is expanding its collaboration with partners, including Intel, Samsung and Hyundai, CEO Kim Lok-won said in an interview with Yonhap published on Sunday. He said he expects the first set of chips using Samsung's 2-nanometer process to come out in March or April 2027.

Kim said DeepX is also in talks with AMD to build an "open ecosystem" that would include other South Korean companies and the government. He added that DeepX is planning to open branches in Japan and Europe, stating that the firm is pursuing a "first-mover strategy to lead the global market by securing core source technologies in cutting-edge fields."
