Saudi Arabia’s crude oil exports surged to an average of 8.165 million barrels per day in the first 15 full days of October despite continued attacks on commercial shipping and elevated risks around the Strait of Hormuz, TankerTrackers reported Friday.
The figure marks a sharp increase from 5.620 million bpd in September and 3.697 million bpd in August, according to data published by the maritime intelligence firm.
Separate shipping data have also shown a strong recovery in Saudi flows. Kpler data showed Saudi Arabia helping drive a rebound in Persian Gulf exports in September, as the kingdom diverted oil exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu following attacks that damaged its East-West pipeline.
