Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Navy warned Tuesday that crews aboard tankers near ports in Kuwait and Bahrain should leave their vessels immediately, saying the ships would be targeted in retaliation for US attacks on Iranian tankers.
“Given the hostile actions of the terrorist US military in targeting several Iranian oil tankers, we warn all tanker crews in the vicinity of ports in Kuwait and Bahrain,” the IRGC Navy said in a statement carried by state media.
It said Kuwait and Bahrain “host these terrorists and are partners in their actions,” adding: “Immediately leave your vessels, whether at anchorage or at the docks, because they will be targeted.”
The statement accused Kuwait and Bahrain of hosting US forces and being partners in Washington’s actions against Iran.
