Ukraine's Special Operations Forces said on Wednesday it launched the " deepest strike of the war," targeting Russian gas facilities in western Siberia.
Ukrainian drones traveled more than 3,000 kilometers and struck the Novy Urengoy and Purovsky plants far behind Russian lines that were "considered a safe rear zone for the aggressor," special forces detailed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed the special forces operation in a social media post. "It is important that we respond to Russia's war in a completely justified way - and in a way the enemy can truly feel. Every such strike reduces Russia's ability to delay the decisions needed for diplomacy," he emphasized.
