Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that Israel was committed to defeating Iran's establishment, speaking during a visit to Mount Hermon in Syria.
Netanyahu visited the area with Defense Minister Israel Katz and Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Tamir Yadai, according to the prime minister's office.
"The main task is defeating the terrorist regime in Iran. We are very close to that," Netanyahu said. "We know that the entire axis will fall once and for all. We are committed to doing it, and we will do it."
He also said Israel would not allow what he called a "terrorist army" to establish itself along its border and said Israel had "absolute control" over an area stretching from Mount Hermon toward the Yarmouk and the Mediterranean.
