US Central Command denied an IRGC assertion that Iranian forces had struck two US Navy destroyers operating in the Middle East, calling it “completely false.”
“No US Navy warship has been struck; all IRGC attempted attacks failed,” CENTCOM said on Wednesday.
It added that US forces had destroyed 10 Iranian tankers over the past week, describing the vessels as part of a network financing the IRGC.
