A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday to discuss the latest US proposal to resume peace negotiations, as diplomatic efforts intensify to end the conflict between Washington and Tehran. The delegation, led by a senior adviser to Qatar's prime minister and foreign minister, is expected to meet senior Iranian officials, Iranian state media reported. The visit follows a US Vice President JD Vance's letter to Iranian security chief Mohsen Rezaei seeking to restart stalled negotiations. Tehran received the message but had not responded as of Thursday, according to Fars News Agency.
Previous talks collapsed over disagreements regarding navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
