Flights between Iran and Iraq will resume on Sunday using both Iranian and Iraqi airlines, Iran's Civil Aviation Organization Head Abuzar Shiroudi said, according to IRNA.
"Based on the decisions taken at the level of the high authorities of the two countries, it was decided that flights between Iran and Iraq will be resumed by Iranian and Iraqi airlines starting tomorrow," Shiroudi said. He urged passengers to confirm flight times through official airline or airport channels before traveling.
Iraq's Najaf International Airport suspended all flights to and from Iran on September 25 until further notice. Tehran also recently canceled flights to the United Arab Emirates after several regional countries restricted Iranian airlines from using their airspace.
