Russia tested ground-based robotic systems for logistics, fire support, and obstacle crossing during its Center-2026 strategic command and staff exercises, the Russian Defense Ministry stated on Friday.
Bogomol, Impulse and Depesha robots delivered ammunition and supplies to assault units at the Chebarkulsky training ground, while Kuryer systems equipped with infantry flamethrower modules targeted simulated enemy shelters and fortified positions. Shuttle ground drones were also deployed, with robotic systems using lightweight bridge structures to help troops cross trenches. More than 6,000 servicemen, including foreign contingents, participated at the training ground, alongside over 500 drones and more than 50 robotic systems.
Russian President Vladimir Putin travelled to observe the drills and expressed confidence that the Center-2026 and Interaction-2026 exercises would "improve responses to external threats."
