Apple Inc. confirmed that an AT&T network issue causes some iPhone 18 Pro Max devices to lose cellular service, meaning already affected phones require hardware replacements.
"We have identified an issue affecting a small number of iPhone 18 Pro Max users on the AT&T network that may cause a device to lose service and be unable to make calls," Apple told 9to5Mac.
To stop the problem from spreading, Apple urged users to update to the new iOS 27.0.1. The company noted that these updates only prevent future issues, and already affected users cannot be fixed without new hardware.
